The application for international student scholarships for the 2024 - 2025 academic year is now launched. The specific notice is as follows:
I. Scholarship Categories
1. Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students in China
(1) Type A (Only for master's degree students to apply. Third - year master's students are not eligible to apply)
Scholarship amount: RMB 30,000 yuan
(2) Type B (Only for undergraduate students to apply)
Scholarship amount: RMB 20,000 yuan
2. Zhejiang Gongshang University International Student Scholarship
(1) First - class scholarship: 70% of the tuition fee for the current year
(2) Second - class scholarship: 50% of the tuition fee for the current year
(3) Third - class scholarship: 30% of the tuition fee for the current year
II. Application Conditions
1. Comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China;
2. Comply with the school rules and regulations of Zhejiang Gongshang University, have good conduct, and have not received any disciplinary actions during the 2023 - 2024 academic year;
3. Study hard, with a weighted average score of 80 or above in the 2023 - 2024 academic year, no failing records in the final exam, no absence - from - exam records, or have outstanding performance in other aspects;
4. The attendance rate in all aspects such as courses in the 2023 - 2024 academic year reaches 80% or above;
5. Have fully paid the tuition and accommodation fees for this year, and have no arrears in previous academic years;
6. Not a student sponsored by the Chinese Government Scholarship or Zhejiang Gongshang University President Scholarship.
III. Application Materials
1. Zhejiang Gongshang University International Student Scholarship Application Form. Due to the limited space of the application form, please attach another document for the Personal Statement section and write it as detailed as possible;
2. Personal statement. The content includes but is not limited to the applicant's study summary and excellent performance in the 2023 - 2024 academic year, future plans, research plans, reasons for application, etc.;
3. Materials that can prove the applicant's excellent performance in the previous academic year, such as award - winning and excellent evaluation certificates obtained during September 1, 2023 - August 31, 2024, certificates of participation in on - and off - campus activities, volunteer certificates, HSK certificates, professional certificates, certificates of student cadre positions (if any);
4. Materials that can prove the applicant's academic research ability, such as academic papers or academic achievements published during September 1, 2023 - August 31, 2024 (if any).
IV. Selection Methods
The data used for calculating the comprehensive quality evaluation scores are obtained during September 1, 2023 - August 31, 2024, which are composed of moral quality, academic performance, and comprehensive performance scores. Among them, moral quality accounts for 10%, academic performance accounts for 70%, and comprehensive performance scores account for 20%.
The evaluation standard for the applicant's academic performance is calculated by the weighted average method, with credits as the weight, and calculate the weighted average score of the first - time exam scores of all courses in the 2023 - 2024 academic year (make - up exam scores are not included).
The applicant's comprehensive performance scores include the participation and achievement situations in scientific research, discipline competitions, cultural and sports activities, volunteer activities, attendance, teacher evaluations, student cadre positions, etc. in the past academic year.
